Firefighters Injured Battling Blaze On Loudoun County Porch
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries battling a house fire on Thursday morning in Virginia, officials say. Loudoun County Fire and Rescue crews were called to a reported structure fire in the 200 block of Edwards Ferry Road NE in Leesburg at approximately 11 a.m. on July 11. Upon arrival, firefighters were met with smoke showing and fire on the porch, which was quickly extinguished by first responders. Three people were hospitalized in a Leesburg shooting Thursday evening, May 30, local police said. Police said only that the three people had been shot on the 800 block of Edwards Ferry Road NE and were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries around 9:45 p.m. UPDATE: Arrest Made In Triple Leesburg Shooting Witnesses are asked to call 703-771-4500. An investigation is ongoing in Leesburg after a busy bank was robbed in Leesburg on Oct. 2 by a man wearing Nike clothes, a hat, and surgical mask. An 18-year-old star basketball player who recently graduated from Loudoun County High School died overnight in a car crash involving a tractor-trailer, authorities said. George Mwesigwa was rushed to the hospital after a 3 a.m. crash on Leesburg bypass near Edwards Ferry Road in Leesburg, where he later died of his wounds, Leesburg police said.
