An investigation has been launched in Northeast DC after an off-duty District of Columbia Housing Authority Police Sergeant was shot, according to officials. Officials say that a Secret Service officer found a man beaten to death - possibly with a metal pipe - in a park near the White House after being flagged down by a jogger who found the body on Wednesday morning.
