Nine people were injured - including two minors - in an early morning Wednesday shooting during a targeted attack of a group of people celebrating the Fourth of July. A dark-colored SUV rolled through a party at approximately 1 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5 in the 4700 block of Meade Street NE and unknown assailants began opening fire into a crowd, according to police officials. All hands were on deck on Sunday morning when a boat overturned in the Potomac River and left nearly a dozen people in a perilous position. Several agencies responded on Sunday, July 2, when the boat went over and left eight people in the water in need of a helping hand, which was happily offered by first responders across DC.
