Cops Dismantle $27K Fairfax County Theft Ring Run By Out-Of-State Crew, Authorities Say
Three people have been arrested in a four-month stealing spree at a Fairfax County mall — none of whom area from the area, police said. Oscar William Laverde Laverde, 56, of New York, and Sindia Noguera, 43, of New Jersey, are both in custody, while Claudia Suarez, 45, of New York, remains at large, county police said. A 50-year-old man from Washington DC was arrested for stealing two electric scooters in Arlington, police said. Police were called to the 1700 block of N. Pierce Street around 3:20 a.m. Tuesday, May 7 on reports of a man, later identified as Ahmad Bilal, breaking into a bike storage room, county police said. There, Bilal stole two electric scooters and chargers and fled the scene, police said. Former player Callum Robinson, 33, who had been reported missing several days ago after a surfing trip to Mexico's Baja California coast, has been identified as one of three people found dead along the coast. Another Homeless Peeper Busted In Arlington, Police Say
Yet another peeper has been arrested in Arlington. Residents of a 17th Street home were inside when they spotted Christopher Sails, 40, outside on May 6 around 2 a.m., police said, The residents said Sails was peeping inside of their home on March 27. Responding officers found a man matching the description given by the residents, and identified Sails as the suspect. He was charged with peeing and held without bond. Armed Burglar Caught Fleeing Across Golf Course In Fairfax County
A man who broke into a home and robbed a woman at gunpoint was arrested after attempting to flee across a Fairfax County golf course, police said. The man broke into a home on the 2200 block of Stone Wheel Drive in Reston and robbed the woman at gunpoint. Police said only that he then tried to flee across a nearby golf course. While police did not say which golf course he fled through, the closest is Reston National Golf Course is located approximately one mile away. He was quickly apprehended, police said.

Woman Forced Into Woods By Stranger Who Sexually Assaulted Her In Prince William County: Cops
Police are searching for the man who a 35-year-old woman said grabbed her and sexually assaulted her in Manassas over the weekend. The victim was walking near Fairmount Avenue and Anvil Drive between 11:30 p.m. Friday, April 19 and 12:30 a.m. Saturday, April 20, when she was grabbed by a complete stranger, Prince William County police said. MD Man, 47, Sent Sexually Explicit Texts To Child In VA: Cops
A 47-year-old Maryland man is accused of sending sexually-explicit messages to a minor earlier this year in Prince William County, authorities said. Lamar Bobby Hopkins, of Oxon Hill, MD, was an acquaintance of the victim who received the disturbing texts in February 2023, in Woodbridge, Prince William County police said. Police ID 14-Year-Old Killed In Shooting At Metro Station In Northeast DC
New details have been released by the Metropolitan Police Department after a 14-year-old was shot and killed at a Metro station in Northeast DC on Thursday afternoon. Avion Evans has been identified by the agency as the teenager who was killed when a fight broke out on the platform of the Brookland-Catholic University Metro Station in the 800 block Monroe Street NE.
