Major Mall-Based Chain To Close 543 Stores After Filing For Bankruptcy
A major retailer primarily located in malls and headquartered in Pennsylvania is set to close all 543 of its stores following its third Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. Closures for all rue21 locations are expected to be completed within the next two months with going-out-of-business sales coming soon. A Virginia man has been indicted by a grand jury in the death of a worker crushed to death by a trash compactor last year. Michael Lee Gorham, 57, was indicted on Monday, July 17, with manslaughter in the July 7, 2022 death of 28-year-old Brandon Nutter, the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office confirmed. : 20-Year-Old Maryland Man Charged In Fatal Shooting
A Bladensburg man is awaiting extradition to Maryland after admitting his role in connection to a fatal District Heights shooting, authorities say. Daquon Parris, 20, was arrested in Colonial Heights, Virginia for the murder of Tremayne Crawford, 34 according to Prince George's County police. Parris allegedly admitted to shooting Crawford during an argument around 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 20 in the 3300 block of Walters Lane.
