Speeding Driver Charged In Crash That Killed 27-Year-Old Engineer In Fairfax County
Charges have been filed against a 53-year-old driver who was speeding before a crash that killed a 27-year-old motorcyclist in Fairfax County, police said.
Gael Cruchet, 53, of Ashburn was driving the 2016 Acura TLX well above the posted speed limit when they struck Zafeer Piracha, of Lorton, on Rt. 28 in Centreville on Friday, Nov. 27, police said.
Piracha was ejected from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene.

Nurse Sexually Assaults Patient In Virginia: Police
A 61-year-old nurse practitioner is accused of sexually assaulting his patient in Virginia, authorities said.
Mohammed Saidu Nabie, of Centreville, has been charged with aggravated sexual battery, Prince William County police said.
The 47-year-old woman was being treated by Nabie on Friday, Aug. 11, at Serenite Medical & Spa in Dumfries, at the time of the incident, county police said.
The victim left the business after the incident and contacted the police. On Thursday, Aug. 17, following the investigation, Nabie was arrested. He's being held without bond.

DCF Worker Rapes, Sodomizes Victim In Virginia: Police
A 35-year-old Fairfax County Department of Family Services employee has been arrested after raping and sodomizing a victim, authorities announced.
Ernest Melo, of Centreville, met with the victim — a stranger — at a restaurant just outside of Fairfax County Wednesday night, June 28, the Fairfax County Police Department said.
The two went back to the victim’s house in the Mount Vernon Police District, where Melo raped and sexually assaulted the victim, authorities said.
