A 37-year-old woman attempting an abrupt U-turn died when she was struck by another car in Fairfax County on Friday, April 21, authorities said. Christina Hamilton was in a 2018 Honda Civic, heading east on Arlington Boulevard, when she tried to make the turn near Patrick Henry Drive and was struck by a Honda Accord around 1:10 a.m. in Falls Church, county police said. Wanted 27-Year-Old Fires Shots At Arlington County Police Officers
An Arlington man is in police custody after he avoided officers and fired shots in their direction, officials said. In the evening of Oct. 6, officers attempted to pull over Ricardo Singleton, 27, who was wanted after a hit-and-run incident earlier in the day, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. When Singleton noticed the officers, he fired multiple rounds at them and fled to Fairfax County, authorities said. Firefighters Close I-495 After Tractor-Trailer Catches Fire In Fairfax County
Firefighters closed a portion of Interstate 495 just before rush hour on Wednesday, July 6, after a tractor-trailer burst into flames in Fairfax County, authorities said. Fairfax County firefighters responded to the fire in the southbound lane of the interstate just before 5 p.m. near the exit for Arlington Boulevard (Route 50), the Virginia Department of Transportation tweeted.
