A man was fatally struck by an Amtrak train in Fredericksburg on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 30, sparking an investigation by local and federal authorities, police said. Officers from the Fredericksburg Police Department responded to a call at approximately 4:25 p.m. reporting a pedestrian near the train tracks in the 200 block of Lafayette Boulevard. Two People Struck, Killed By Trains Hours Apart In DMV Region
One person was killed by a train after being struck on the tracks behind the Washington Times building in Northeast DC, officials say. Shortly before 4:30 p.m. on May 15, DC Fire and EMS personnel were called to the 3600 block of New York Avenue NE to investigate reports of a person who had been struck by a train.
