Afternoon Shooting Under Investigation In Loudoun County: Sheriff's Office Police in Loudoun County are actively investigating a shooting that appears to have happened in a Sterling home, according to authorities. The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office announced shortly before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23 that the agency was conducting an investigation into a shooting in the 700 block of West Church Street in Sterling. Officials said that the victim was located near the area of the reported shooting and was transported to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment of what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
