Nearly one year to the day after a hit-and-run driver struck a teen boy and drove in the direction of several children in Alexandria, a suspect has been arrested, authorities announced on Tuesday.
Zsavon Walters, 29, has been charged in connection to the Oct. 4, 2023, hit-and-run after being apprehended by members of the US Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force on Thursday, Oct. 3.

Woman, 72, Reported Missing In Fairfax County Found Dead, Police Say
A 72-year-old woman who was reported missing in Virginia on Thursday morning has been found dead, police say, though no foul play is suspected in her death.
On Thursday, Sept. 26, an alert was issued by the Fairfax County Police Department regarding Sylvia Hunt, who was last seen days ago on Monday, Sept. 23 in the 5800 block of Aspen Wood Court in McLean.
At the time, police noted that Hunt was considered endangered due to mental and physical health concerns.
Shortly after 7 p.m. on Thursday night, the police issued a new announcement advising that Hunt was found dead.

A 71-year-old driver has been arrested in connection to a triple fatal crash in Fairfax County in February, authorities announced on Wednesday.
Tei Hu, 71, of Fairfax, was attempting to make a left turn onto the westbound lanes of Braddock Road from Badfield Drive in Annadale on Feb. 4 and was struck by a vehicle heading east on Braddock Road, leading to a crash that resulted in three deaths.
