Sudden Engine Failure Fuels Recall Of 443K+ Nissan Vehicles, Nhtsa Says More than 443,000 Nissan and Infiniti vehicles are being recalled due to an engine defect that can cause sudden failure and increase crash risks. Nissan issued the recall for about 443,899 vehicles, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said. The issue affects several models from 2019 through 2024, including Nissan Rogues, Nissan Altimas, Infiniti QX50s, and Infiniti QX55s.  According to the NHTSA, engine bearings inside the vehicles may have been improperly manufactured. Matthew D. Semsey, 33, was pronounced dead at 3:12 p.m. on Saturday in the emergency department at St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office said. Person Crushed To Death Working On Vehicle In Woodbridge Driveway, Police Say A person was killed while working on a vehicle that slipped and crushed him in Prince William County, police say. Officers were called at around 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5 to the 4900 block of Asdee Lane in Woodbridge to investigate a reported death. Wanted Spring Valley Man Nabbed In New Jersey A 31-year-old Rockland man was arrested on an outstanding warrant after a traffic stop in New Jersey, authorities said Friday. Mario McIntyre of Spring Valley was stopped by police in Fair Lawn, NJ, before dawn on March 14 because of a defective problem with his lights, authorities said. A computer check turned up a warrant out of the Passaic County, NJ town of Hawthorne, Fair Lawn Sgt. Brian Metzler said. McIntyre was issued a summons for improper maintenance of vehicle lamps and released after posting bail on the outstanding warrant, the sergeant said.
