Emergency crews were dispatched shortly after 9 a.m. to 1000 Hilltop Circle, home to UMBC's Meyerhoff Chemistry Building, after receiving reports of a chemical spill, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department. Tractor-Trailer Catches Fire On I-87, Blocks Lanes In Suffern (Developing) A tractor-trailer caught fire on the Thruway in Rockland County on Friday afternoon, June 5, blocking lanes of traffic.  The fire was reported on I-87 northbound in Suffern before Exit 15 for I-287 South and Route 17 South at around 4:22 p.m., according to 511NY traffic reports. All northbound lanes were blocked as emergency crews responded to the scene, traffic officials said.  The fire is causing traffic backups in the area.  No information about injuries or the cause of the blaze was immediately available.  This is a developing story.
