Fairfield County Man Admits To Robbing Five Connecticut Banks A Bridgeport man used weapons and murder threats to rob five Connecticut banks over the span of nearly a year, according to the John Durham, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut. Durham announced this week that Alexander Laister, 25, waived his right to be indicted and pleaded guilty in Hartford federal court to one count of armed bank robbery and admitted that he robbed a total of five banks between November 2016 and June 2017.
