Garage Fire Leads To Total Loss of Towamencin Home: Authorities A Montgomery County home was declared to be a total loss following what started as a garage fire on Sunday, Oct. 27, according to authorities. The home, located at 401 Shipwrighter Way in Towamencin Township was a total loss due to fire and water damage, according to Towamencin Township Fire Marshal Bill Oettinger. While the fire was determined to be accidental, its origin is still under investigation, Oettinger said.  The fire was initially reported as being in the garage at 5:27 p.m., according to Oettinger. Nearly Two Dozen, Including Several Kids, Displaced By Jersey City Fire Firefighters in Jersey City contained a residential blaze in less than an hour Tuesday but the home sustained heavy water damage, a city spokeswoman said.  The JCFD responded to 113 Ocean Ave., a three-story building, around 12:30 p.m. The fire was confined to a front bedroom on the third floor.  No one was injured, but the home sustained heavy water damage from the activated fire sprinklers. The Red Cross was helping a total of 9 adults and 12 children relocate.   The cause of the fire was still under investigation Tuesday afternoon.
