NJ Theater Company Slams School Groups For Leaving 'School Of Rock' Show Due To Cursing
A couple school groups said gosh dangit. Two elementary school groups in Camden County walked out of “School of Rock” over concerns about cursing and other inappropriate content in the popular musical. The mid-performance walkout drew criticism from the Ritz Theatre Company. South Jersey native and beloved brother Hunter Lee Harbs died unexpectedly on Sunday, Aug. 28. He was 22. Born in Voorhees, Hunter graduated from Arthur P. Schalick High School in 2018 and lived in Pittsgrove at the time of his death, his obituary says. Hunter then worked a variety of jobs until he found passion in operating heavy machinery at Diamond Materials. Hunter’s free time was spent driving his truck, visiting friends, and traveling. DWI Driver Charged With Child Endangerment: West Windsor Police
A drunk driver from South Jersey was charged with child endangerment following a traffic stop in Mercer County, authorities said. Christian P. Exley, of Voorhees, was pulled over for driving erratically on Route 1 & Quakerbridge Road shortly after 1:50 a.m. on Sunday, June 12, West Windsor Police said in a release on Wednesday, July 13. 2 Dead In South Jersey Steamroller Crash: Report
Two people died in a crash involving a steamroller Friday, April 15 on Route 73, NJ Advance Media reports citing police. The fatalities were those of two people in the car that collided with the construction machine in the southbound lanes of the highway in Voorhees around 9 p.m., the outlet says. New Jersey native and active-duty Navy sailor Ethan F. Sabatini-Villafane, 23, was found dead in Virginia on Monday, March 7 — five days after he had been reported missing, several news outlets say. An underage girl who'd been reported missing was rescued from a trio of South Jersey human traffickers who were prostituting her, authorities said. Marquise Ogawa, 28, Chyaire Lee, 26, and Jazmin Scott, 21, all of Lawnside, were being held in the Camden County Correctional Facility in Camden, charged with various child prostitution, trafficking and endangerment counts. South Jersey Doc Goes To Federal Prison For Forging $500,000 Worth Of Employer's Checks
A South Jersey doctor was sentenced Monday to two years in federal prison for stealing more than $500,000 from his previous employer and using it to pay his bills. Walter Sytnik, 35, of Voorhees, forged checks for five years from checks he stole from the medical practice where he worked as a bookkeeper before going to medical school, U.S. Attorney Philip R.
