A woman is accused of stealing from cars and businesses in a string of thefts across Long Island, police announced on Sunday, March 1.
Janelle Edwards, 38, of Mastic, was arrested after Seventh Precinct officers responded to a 911 call about a woman attempting to break into vehicles in front of 109 Poospatuck Lane in Mastic at 9:07 a.m. on Sunday, March 1, according to the Suffolk County Police.
Investigators had already identified Edwards as a suspect in other recent incidents in the area, and she was taken into custody shortly after officers arrived, police said.
