22 People Rescued From Sinking NJ Charter Cruise
Twenty-two people were saved by a good Samaritan from a sinking charter cruise off Sea Isle City, authorities said. The Starfish hit the Townsends Inlet Bridge on Monday evening, July 11 and started taking on water, a U.S. Coast Guard spokesman said. There were no injuries. Sea Tow and the cruise ship's owner were making repairs to the boat on Tuesday, July 12, the spokesman said.

A 12-year-old boy and an unidentified male drowned in the Virginia Beach waters Fourth of July weekend, Pilot Online reports. Three children were among four people injured in a jet boat accident in Atlantic City July Fourth weekend, NJ Advance Media reports. The body of a 59-year-old swimmer was recovered after being swept away by a rip tide off the Jersey Shore, NJ Advance Media reported.
