44 Pounds Of Cocaine: 2 Indicted In Largest Drug Bust In Littleton History
A Mexican national and a man from Texas were arrested following a routine traffic stop in Littleton with more than 40 pounds of cocaine inside their car, federal authorities said.
Cornelio Hernandez, 51, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Erasmo Lira-Mendez, 38, of Mexico, were indicted in a Worcester court Monday, May 22, on one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances and one count of possession with intent to distribute 5 kilograms or more of cocaine, the US Attorney for Massachusetts announced. Fake Adderalls: Central Mass Couple Charged With Running Drug Ring, Feds Say
A Leominster man and woman were arrested and charged Tuesday, May 9, with running a massive fake Adderall pill scheme, authorities said.
Chanhda Onesyvieng, 48, and Bonnie Bounkong Namsaly, 45, were charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said.
According to the charging documents, police said they were tipped off to the alleged fake pill scheme in April. Officers found nearly two kilograms —more than four pounds — of pressed methamphetamine pills made to look like Adderalls.

Ex-Nurse Avoids Jailtime For Stealing Boston Patients' Opioids: Feds
A former nurse who admitted to stealing opioids from her patients and a locked medicine cabinet at two Boston-area hospitals will not serve any jail time, federal authorities announced.
Lisa Tarr, 33, of St. Petersburg, Fla., was sentenced to five years of probation, with the first year being spent in home detention, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said. Tarr pleaded guilty last year to four counts of unlawfully obtaining controlled substances by fraud, deception, and subterfuge.
