A Week Later, 11K Nyseg Customers Still In The Dark In Westchester, Putnam More than 11,000 NYSEG customers remain without power as crews continue cleaning up from a pair of winter storms that left trees and power lines strewn about the area. 
According to NYSEG, as of 9:45 a.m. on Friday, 11,157 of NYSEG’s 86,737 customers in Putnam as well as parts of Northern Westchester and Dutchess remain without power as municipal aid crews continue making the rounds in the region, de-powering power lines and clearing downed trees. In Westchester, there are 6,945 customers without power, while 3,551 customers in Putnam are without power, and an additional 661 in Dutchess are…

Deep Freeze: Wind Chill Advisory Extended To Sunday For Fairfield County FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — The dangerous deep freeze is not over for Fairfield County.  A Wind Chill Advisory has been extended until 8 a.m. Sunday for Fairfield County as well as most of Connecticut and the tri-state area.  The very cold wind chills of 10 below zero to 20 below zero can cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin.  The high on Saturday will near 11 degrees — under sunny skies.
