The incident occurred at approximately 7:18 p.m. when Gladstone branch train 439, which had departed Hoboken at 6:48 p.m., was en route to its final destination in Gladstone, according to NJ Transit. Train 1110 on the Main-Bergen County line was briefly delayed following the crash just before 10:15 a.m. at the Hollywood Avenue crossing, which left the sedan severely damaged, according to incident reporter Boyd A.
