Covid-19: Here's Latest Rundown Of Rockland County Cases By Community
There were 14 new COVID-19 fatalities reported in Rockland this week, as the number of active cases in the county ticked upward.
Rockland County health officials were reporting 2,566 active COVID-19 cases on Friday, Jan. 8, up from 2,293 as recently as Monday, Jan. 4.
A total of 106 COVID-19 patients are currently hospitalized from the virus, down from 75 on Monday, and the new virus-related deaths brought the total to 785 since March.

Covid-19: Number Of Active Cases In Rockland Surpasses 1,100: Breakdown By Location
The number of active COVID-19 cases in Rockland County has hit 1,100 as the infection rate continues to rise in one of New York's hottest spots for the virus.
According to the county Department of Health, the number of active cases consists of confirmed positive results dated within the last two weeks that have been reported to health officials.
There are a total of 1,116 current cases for the time period of Monday, Oct. 26, and Monday, Nov. 9.
The number of active cases is up from 872 earlier in the week, and there are now 34 people hospitalized, up from 19 on Monday, Nov. 9.

Three From Rockland Nabbed For DWI In Stops By Sheriff's Officers
Three people were arrested for DWI by the Rockland County Sheriff's Office during routine traffic stops.
Those arrested included:
Omar Bello, 24, of Suffern, was arrested around 4:25 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, after being stopped on Route 59 in Spring Valley. During the stop, deputies found that Bello was allegedly under the influence and was driving with a license. He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, DWI and aggravated DWI with a BAC greater than .18 percent. He was released on a summons to appear in court on Dec. 18.
