Details, Motive Emerge In Mass Shooting That Killed Father, Graduate In Richmond
Support is surging for family members grieving the loss of the father and son killed in the Richmond mass shooting Tuesday, June 6.
A memorial fund for those surviving Shawn Jackson, 18, and Renzo Smith, 36, had been launched overnight.
The suspect, Ameri Ty-John Pollard, and Jackson apparently had an ongoing dispute, Richmond Police Chief Rick Edwards said at a news conference.
Pollard allegedly watched the graduation ceremony and then went to his car and pulled out a handgun, firing as crowds filed out of the Altria Theater around 5:15 p.m., police said.

Four Arrested In Riverhead After Complaints Of Drug Dealing, Police Say
Complaints of drug dealing on Long Island led to the arrests of four suspects who were busted with heroin, fentanyl, crack cocaine, and an illegal weapon, police said.
An investigation was launched in Riverhead earlier this year after there were repeated community complaints of drug dealing in the area, according to local, county, and state law enforcement.
The investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at approximately 6 a.m. on Saturday, April 30 at locations on Hamilton Avenue and Osborn Avenue in Riverhead.
