Two Connecticut police officers who were gunned down and killed when responding to an apparent domestic dispute may have been lured to the home by a fake 911 call.
Bristol Police Sgt. Dustin DeMonte, age 35, and Officer Alex Hamzy, age 34, both young fathers, were killed and 26-year-old Alec Iurato was injured, around 10:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 12 in a residential neighborhood in Bristol, said the Connecticut State Police.

Fairfield County Man Nabbed In Connection With Overdose Death, Police Say
Following an investigation that lasted more than a year, a Fairfield County man has been arrested for allegedly selling drugs, and faces charges associated with an overdose death.
Rodney Spann, age 26, of Bridgeport, was arrested by Stamford Police on Wednesday, Oct. 13, on charges of the sale of narcotics and conspiracy to sell narcotics.
The investigation into Spann began in September 2020 after a woman died from an overdose, said Capt. Richard Conklin, of the Stamford Police Department.
During an investigation into her death, Spann became the focus, Conklin said.

Investigators Return To CT Property In Connection To Missing Mom Case
Connecticut State Police returned for the second day to a home once owned by Fotis Dulos, this time with an excavator, and a pump truck.
On Wednesday, Jan. 20, state police said they were continuing their investigation into the disappearance of Jennifer Farber Dulos, of New Canaan, by again visiting a property at 80 Mountain Spring Road in Farmington, once owned by Dulos' late estranged husband Fotis Dulos.
Farber Dulos hasn't been seen Friday, May 24, 2019, around 8 a.m., after dropping off her children at school and returned to her home on Welles Lanes.

Man Held In Connection With Fatal Norwalk Stabbing Of Ex-HS Basketball Star

Police have arrested a man in connection with the fatal stabbing of a former high school basketball star in Norwalk.
Sheldon Frierson, 29 of Norwalk, was identified as a person of interest in the death of Michael Moody, 29, of Norwalk, who was found stabbed to death outside his Fairfield Avenue home on Thursday, Aug. 8, said Norwalk Police Lt. Terrence Blake.
Known as a talented basketball player, Moody played at Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk, where he was known for his "smooth," jump shot, was stabbed around 1 a.m. Thursday, Norwalk Police said.
