Covid-19: Fairfield County City Lifts Mask Mandate For Most
A city-wide mask mandate in a Fairfield County city will soon be lifted due to the falling number of COVID-19 cases.
Stamford Mayor Caroline Simmons announced on Friday, Feb. 11 that the city-wide mask mandate will be lifted on Wed., Feb. 16.
Masks are still required to be worn in hospitals, nursing homes, healthcare and childcare facilities, schools, municipal buildings, and on public transit, Simmons said.
The announcement comes in response to a decline in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in Stamford.

Covid-19: Zoom Meeting For Residents, Drive-Thru Testing Starts In Ridgefield
Ridgefield residents will be able to attend a COVID-19 Zoom meeting for an update on the town's current status and the start of drive-thru testing in town.
The meeting will take place online at 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 17, and will include updates from the town's task force including scientists, doctors, communications specialists as well as Town Health Director, Ed Briggs, School Superintendent Susie Da Silva, and First Selectman Rudy Marconi.

Covid-19: Local Businesses Create Care Packages For Emergency Response Workers
In a show of community support, a Fairfield County brewery coordinated with other food and beverage businesses to create care packages for healthcare and emergency response workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
RISE Nitro Brewing Company, of Stamford, partnered with Kelly's Four Plus, Muscle Up, and Zesty Z to create 30 boxes containing 36 cans of organic cold brew coffee, and 24 snacks of protein bars, Mediterranean popcorn, and hand-baked granola.
