A pair who conspired to steal 50 weapons from a federal firearms licensee (FFL) with the intent to sell them have been sentenced, authorities announced.
District resident Victor Jones, 22, and Cedric Minger, of Brandywine, both 22, were among four involved with two others to rob a gun seller, officials say.
According to court documents, on April 29, 2023, the four drove a stolen Acura ILX from Washington to an FFL in Springfield with the intention of breaking in and stealing weapons.

A Germantown man has been arrested for carrying a loaded gun that he stole from another state, authorities said.
Brasean Wellington, 28, was arrested and charged for possessing the stolen firearm, which he is prohibited from having, on Monday, March 28, Montgomery County Police said.
Police were patrolling the Milestone Shopping Center when they saw Wellington's black 2009 BMW had an equipment safety violation just after 3:30 p.m. on Friday, March 25, police said.

UPDATE: A South Jersey ex-con found with dozens of guns, high-capacity magazines and ammo admitted having others buy guns for him, federal authorities said.
Darick Nollett, 32, who lives in Cumberland County near the Delaware Bay, caught the attention of law enforcement when he bought a “fuel filter” – a device commonly used to silence firearms -- from China, Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig said.
