Person Suffers Severe Leg Injury Cutting Tree Branches In South Jersey A person in Atlantic County was seriously injured while in a tree cutting branches, officials said. Pleasantville firefighters responded to a yard on North Woodland Avenue at around 12:16 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, the fire department said in a Facebook post. Crews found the person pinned by a large branch eight feet up in the tree. Truck Crash Closes Exit On Atlantic City Expressway A crash closed an exit on the Atlantic City Expressway on Monday, Nov. 27, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 9:30 a.m. in Atlantic City, according to the South Jersey Transportation Authority.  The crash closed Exit 2 off the expressway and drivers were being asked to move over for emergency vehicles, 511nj.org reported. The crash involved a truck that was unloading a dumpster toppling power lines, Atlantic City police said.

Tolls Going Up On Atlantic City Expressway Tolls on the Atlantic City Expressway are going up next year, officials said on Thursday, Nov. 17. Starting Jan. 1, 2023, cash tolls on the 44-mile Expressway’s Egg Harbor and Route 50 toll plazas will increase from $4.40 to $4.55 for a passenger vehicle. Expressway tolls are going up by 3% from year to year, said Kimberly Testa, a spokeswoman with the South Jersey Transportation Authority.
