Massive Fire Breaks Out At Fort Lee Auto Shop, Firefighter Injured
A three-alarm fire tore through an auto repair shop in Fort Lee Thursday, July 31, sending thick smoke across the area and prompting a full-scale emergency response, officials said. The fire broke out just before 4:30 p.m. at 1440 Bergen Boulevard, according to Jeff Angermeyer, Deputy Chief of Detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office. The building is occupied by Smile Auto Services, a longtime local auto repair shop.
