Garden State Plaza Evacuated Due To Water Main Break: Police Westfield's Garden State Plaza in Paramus was forced to close Tuesday, Sept. 23, due to a water main break, police said. The incident occurred around 4:45 p.m., according to Paramus Police. Authorities announced the closure of the shopping center “until further notice.” It wasn't immediately clear where the break was located. Daily Voice reached out to police for further information.

The closure follows the chain’s bankruptcy filing in Delaware. Pinstripes opened in the Norwalk mall in 2019. It was the first restaurant to welcome guests at the shopping center. The space held a dozen bowling lanes, four bocce courts, and room for parties of up to 1,000 people. According to court filings, “Pinstripes Holdings, Inc. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Delaware on Monday.” The company listed more than $162.9 million in assets and over $258.6 million in debt. Barnes & Noble To Close Location In White Plains: Here's When A Barnes & Noble bookstore in a Westchester County shopping center has set its closing date.  The Barnes & Noble located in the City Center in White Plains at 230 Main St. will close on Easter Sunday, April 20, according to a company spokesperson. The store has been in the City Center for decades.  In the meantime until its final day in business, the store will open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.  Other Barnes & Noble locales in Westchester include stores in Yonkers, Hartsdale, and Scarsdale.

Garden State Plaza Best Buy Announces Moving Date The Garden State Plaza will only be home to Best Buy for two more weeks. Then, it's off to Bergen Town Center. Best Buy will be switching locations on Saturday, April 14, into a brand new facility across from Bergen Town Center, according to a sign posted inside the store. Store officials said shopping will be easier at the new store because the sales floor will be on the same level. The Garden State Plaza has not yet announced what will be replacing Best Buy.
