Jersey City Man Shot Rival Gang Members: Feds
A 33-year-old Jersey City man was charged on Thursday, Dec. 19 with shooting rival gang members, authorities said.
Micah Reid is a member of the Rutgers neighborhood street gang which operates in Triangle Park in Jersey City, US Attorney Phillip Sellinger said.
On Sunday, Oct. 1, 2003, Reid, driving a stolen vehicle, shot at members and associates of rival street gangs who were exiting a nightclub on Culver Avenue in Jersey City, Sellinger said.

Steven Martinez, 30, and Timothy Davis, 27, were charged on Wednesday, Aug. 7 with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and weapons offenses, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release on Monday, Aug. 12. Violent Night: 3 Killed Within Miles In Separate Connecticut Shootings
Three people were killed within miles of each other in two separate Connecticut shootings.
The first victim was shot in Hartford around 12:30 a.m., Sunday, in the area of 675 Wethersfield Ave.
In a separate event just miles away, two men were killed during a shooting at around 1:55 a.m., Sunday, in the area of 82 Sterling St., said Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police.
During the first shooting, Jordan Phipps, age 24, of Bloomfield, was found when Hartford Police responded to a Shotspotter notification on Wethersfield Ave., Boisvert said.
