Western Mass Man Admits To Sexually Assaulting Child At His Home, Gets 2 Years: DA
A 68-year-old Berkshire County man has pleaded to multiple counts of indecent assault on a child younger than 14 years old, authorities announced on Tuesday, Feb. 20. Lochan Kissoon, of Pittsfield, was sentenced to two years in prison for sexually assaulting a minor in his apartment in June 2021, the Berkshire County District Attorney said. Kissoon cannot have contact with anyone under the age of 16, and he must register as a sex offender once he's released, authorities said.

Sex Offender With PA Address Arrested In New York, Police Say
A convicted Pennsylvania sex offender was arrested in New York this week after police say he failed to comply with registry requirements. Randall W. Rolison Jr. was taken into custody in Binghamton on Thursday, Feb. 15, said Morrisville Borough police. Rolison was taken to the Broome County lockup awaiting his extradition back to Pennsylvania, the department said. The state Megan's Law website says Rolison was previously convicted of sexual misconduct in New York. His last known address before absconding was in Morrisville, according to court records.

A former U.S. military member from Morris County who was convicted of sexually assaulting a Passaic County pre-teen while working as a Lyft driver was sentenced to seven years in state prison. Julio Mejia, 43, of Wharton also must register as a sex offender and remain under lifetime parole supervision, under the sentence handed down by Superior Court Judge Joseph A. Portelli in Paterson. Registered Sex Offender In NJ Convicted Of Sexually Abusing 13-Year-Old
A registered sex offender in Atlantic County was found guilty of sexually assaulting a child, authorities said. A jury convicted 34-year-old Marcelino Cruz of Mullica Township on Wednesday, Feb. 7, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said. Cruz was found guilty of second-degree sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and possession of child sexual abuse material. CT Sex Offender Charged With Failing To Report Address 5 Times
A Connecticut sex offender is behind bars after allegedly failing to report his address five times. Hartford County resident Thomas L. Laudenslager, age 33, of South Windsor, was charged on Wednesday, Nov. 17 on an active warrant. According to Lt. Mark Cleverdon of the South Windsor Police, Laudenslager failed to verify his address on five separate occasions in 2022 and 2023 with the state as required by law. Laudenslager turned himself in to the police and was processed and held on a $50,000 surety bond.

A Long Island man will spend decades behind bars for subjecting his young stepdaughter to months of sexual abuse. The 43-year-old Shirley man, who prosecutors are not naming to protect the victim’s identity, was sentenced to 23 years in prison in Suffolk County Court on Tuesday, Dec. 19.
