Man, Woman Nabbed After Stealing Vehicle With Service Dog Inside In Stamford: Police A man and woman were apprehended after stealing a vehicle with a service dog inside in Fairfield County. Just before 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25 in Stamford, officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on the west side of the city.  The vehicle, which was left running, was stolen from Richmond Hill Avenue. Upon taking the report from the owner, officers learned that the stolen vehicle was occupied by a small service dog. War Dog Memorial Planned For Lasdon Park In Northern Westchester Lasdon Park, located on Route 35 in Katonah, will soon be the home to a new war dog memorial. Westchester County Executive George Latimer made the announcement on Wednesday, March 13, also known as National K-9 Veterans Day. In total, more than $30,000 has been raised by Friends of Lasdon Park & Arboretum to erect a memorial statue that will be dedicated to military hero dogs.
