A teenager was killed and four others were hospitalized after a shooting near a SEPTA bus stop on Monday afternoon, March 4, authorities told Daily Voice. It happened at the corner of Broad Street and Godfrey Avenue around 3:45 p.m., police said. A gunman opened fire while commuters were boarding a parked bus. The search for an inmate who escaped custody earlier this week in Philadelphia is heating up with new information, and a new reward being offered by the U.S. Marshals Service. Alleem Borden ran from officers on the 1300 block of North Allison Street in West Philly around 6:45 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, Philadelphia police said. Person Struck Dead On SEPTA Tracks In Montco, Officials Say
One person has died after being hit by a train in Montgomery County on Tuesday morning. Feb. 27, SEPTA told Daily Voice. It happened on the Doylestown Line near Penllyn Station, a SEPTA spokesperson said. The victim's name was not reported. The line briefly shut down as a result of the crash but service has since resumed, SEPTA added.

Man Electrocuted After Falling Onto SEPTA Tracks, Officials Say
One man has died after falling onto train tracks in Center Philadelphia and being electrocuted early Monday morning, Feb. 26, SEPTA told Daily Voice. It happened at City Hall Station on the Broad Street Line around 2:30 a.m., a spokesperson said. The victim was electrocuted after touching the third rail, according to officials. His name was not reported and the matter remains under investigation.

One suspect is in custody after a SEPTA commuter was attacked with a hatchet in Center City early Sunday morning, Feb. 25, city police told Daily Voice. A man was fatally struck by a SEPTA train following a fight in University City on Thursday afternoon, Philadelphia Police told Daily Voice. The "unusual incident" began with a fight between two men at 34th and Market Street down to the eastbound platform of the 34th Street subway station, Officer Tanya Little said. The knife-wielding attacker that left one Macy's employee dead and sent another to the hospital Monday morning was trying to rob the store, according to Philadelphia police.
