Hunterdon County Men Stole Over $80K From Senior Living Resident: Authorities Two Lambertville men were charged after allegedly scamming more than $80,000 from a senior living resident in Bridgewater, authorities said Thursday, June 22. Sanders J. Mishkin and Ronald Cusano, both 65, were charged with theft by deception, Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald said. Mishkin was also charged with attempted theft by deception. Senior Living Apartment Fire In Baltimore County Sends One To Hospital An apartment fire at a senior living apartment in Baltimore County has sent one person to the hospital, authorities say. Firefighters responded to the scene on Clay Lodge Lane in Catonsville where they discovered the fire in a third-floor apartment shortly before 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 23, according to Baltimore County Fire officials. The fire was controlled by 9:45 a.m., officials say. The person inside of the apartment was evaluated by medics and transported to a hospital with reported burn injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Assisted Living Facility Proposed In New City NEW CITY, N.Y. -- Another senior living complex is being proposed for New City. A three-story 70,000 square foot 80 unit building is being proposed on five acres near Phillips Hill Road. There will be 64 one bedroom units and 16 two bedroom units, according to documents submitted to the Clarkstown Planning Board. The project is currently being reviewed by the planning board. The Applebaum family, which is behind the proposal, is also proposing a complex for people 55 years and older on the Buckley Farms property across the street.
