A Maryland middle schooler went wild in the hallway, choking a classmate, punching a staffer, and fighting with a cop before being taken down, authorities said.
The chaos unfolded at Mattawoman Middle School in Charles County on Monday, June 9, according to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.
The 14-year-old student allegedly grabbed another teen by the neck, slammed them against a wall, and pinned them there, investigators said. When a school staff member tried to break it up, the student struck the adult in the chest and then ran from the scene.

Knife Fight At Waterbury High School, 11 Students Charged: Police
Multiple students were arrested after police said they got into a knife fight at a Waterbury high school on Wednesday, May 28.
The fight broke out just before noon at John F. Kennedy High School, 422 Highland Ave. The school resource officer, with help from other Waterbury police, broke up the attack, officials said.
Several students suffered minor injuries in the fight, but the school nurse was able to treat their wounds without further assistance, Waterbury police said.

A Virginia elementary school custodian is facing charges after allegedly smacking an 8-year-old student in the cafeteria, according to Prince William County Police.
Miguel Ismael Gonzales Carmona, 76, is accused of slapping the back of the boy’s head during a brief encounter at Henderson Elementary School in Dumfries on Friday, May 16.
The two reportedly separated after the incident, and the child told school staff what happened on Monday, May 19, police said.
