One Person Killed In Boston Neighborhood Shooting: Police
One person has died from a shooting in Roxbury, authorities said. Police responded to a call about a person shot in the area of 74 Rockland Street around 9:27 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, Boston Police said. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police. The investigation is ongoing. A 24-year-old pedestrian from Piscataway died late Monday after being struck by two vehicles in Mercer County, authorities said. The fatal collision, which closed Route 1 north in West Windsor for about two hours early Tuesday, remains under investigation. The Massachusetts Bail Fund is under fire for using donations to spring a convicted rapist who is accused of raping a woman in July, just weeks after he was let out of jail. The fund posted $15,000 for the release of registered Level 3 sex offender Shawn McClinton who is facing aggravated rape, kidnapping, strangulation, and other new charges, according to Boston.com. No injuries were reported after a car hit a motorcycle and drove away Monday morning in Roxbury, authorities said. An unknown vehicle struck the motorcyclist around 5:50 a.m., near milepost 28.4 on I-80 eastbound, New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said.
