Crash On Route 80: State Police
Two people were injured after an SUV collided with a truck on Route 80 in Parsippany on Monday, Feb. 12, authorities said. At 1:21 p.m., New Jersey State Troopers responded to the crash between an Honda SUV and a Freightliner box truck on Route 80 East at milepost 46.2, Troy McNair of the New Jersey State Police said. The truck was run off the roadway, struck a guardrail and began to spill diesel fluid, McNair said. Three people were arrested after a vehicle pursuit ended with the discovery of a handgun on the early morning of Saturday, Feb. 10, Mountain Lakes Police said. Airbags and a bit of luck spared the driver of a sedan that slammed into a Walmart tractor-trailer on rain-slicked Route 80 overnight. A late morning crash brought traffic on Route 80 to a halt in Morris County on Tuesday, Dec. 26. An Audi passenger vehicle and an Acura passenger vehicle were heading westbound when they attempted to merge and collided near milepost 31.8 in Roxbury Township around 11:05 a.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Troy McNair told Daily Voice. The Acura then ran off the roadway and struck the guardrail, McNair said. No injuries were reported. 7-Car Crash: 1 Victim Airlifted In Route 80 Pileup
One person was airlifted to an area hospital in a crash involving seven vehicle on Route 80 Thursday, Dec. 14, authorities said. The crash happened just after 2 p.m. on the westbound side in Knowlton Township, New Jersey State Police Detective Jeffrey Lebron said. The victim airlifted was a passenger in one of the vehicles. A 65-year-old passenger was killed and a driver seriously injured in an early morning crash on Route 80 on Tuesday, Nov. 21, state police confirmed. A Hyundai passenger vehicle and Ford van were heading westbound when the Hyundai attempted a lane change and struck the Ford near milepost 34.4 in Rockaway Township around 6:50 a.m., NJSP Trooper Troy McNair told Daily Voice. The Hyundai passenger, Maxima Arcibal, of Dover, was killed in the crash, while the driver was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Motorcyclist, 36, Seriously Injured In Route 80 Crash
A 36-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash on Route 80. The Hopatcong man was heading west when he struck the back of a Honda SUV on his Harley Davidson near milepost 50.2 in Fairfield, around 9:55 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, New Jersey State Police Detective I Jeffrey Lebron said. The motorcycle overturned, throwing the driver from the bike. He was taken to an area hospital. No other injuries were reported. The crash remains under investigation and there is no additional information available.

Crash Backs Up Route 80
A crash had traffic piled up along Route 80 in Passaic County early Thursday, Oct. 5. The collision with injuries happened around 8:10 a.m. in the westbound lanes, west of Exit 58 to Madison Avenue in Paterson, the state's DOT website says. Three lanes were closed.
