Man Sentenced For Road Rage Death Of Baby In Rockland
A man who crashed his car, killing a 3-month-old boy during a road rage incident in Monsey last summer has been sentenced to one-and-a-third to four years in state prison, according to the Rockland County District Attorney's Office. Albert Gomez, 63, of Spring Valley ran over the child, Mayer Braun, his 38-year old mother and his two sisters, as they were walking along the westbound shoulder of Route 59 when he became angry at a taxi driver in traffic and passed on the vehicle on the passenger side, police said. Man, 28, Nabbed For DWI In Route 59 Nyack Stop
A Greenwood Lake man who refused to submit to a breathalyzer test on Route 59 during a late-night traffic stop was arrested for driving while intoxicated in Nyack. Officers from the Orangetown Police Department on patrol in Nyack stopped Kevin Emsworth, Jr., 20, shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday morning on Route 59 for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Rockland, Orange County Motorists Among Those Nabbed For DWI Over Weekend
Nearly two dozen impaired drivers were busted by state police in Orange and Rockland County over the weekend as law enforcement officials continue their crackdown on intoxicated drivers in the Hudson Valley.
