A truck driver was hospitalized after running off Route 55 in Deptford, authorities said. A portion of Route 55 was closed for more than two hours due to the crash on Wednesday, July 24, according to the NJDOT. Troopers responded at about 4 p.m. on Route 55 north milepost 59.6, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a New Jersey State Police spokesman. Expect Delays: Taconic Parkway Stretch To Be Closed For Repairs
Motorists on the Taconic State Parkway can expect some delays due to a roadway closure in the area. The New York State Department of Transportation said the roadway will be closed along the southbound lanes in Dutchess County between Exit 47 and Exit 45 in the town of Lagrangeville. The road will be closed for repairs beginning Thursday, Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. through about 6 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 10. The department said motorists should follow the posted detour utilizing Route 55 and Route 82.

Driver, 31, Dead In Route 55 Crash
Authorities have identified the man who died in a crash on Route 55 Tuesday. A Cadillac was heading south in the right lane of the highway when it struck a Chevrolet Express van in the left lane around 4:40 p.m. in Deptford, New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said. The Cadillac side swiped the van, then traveled off of the roadway to the right and struck a tree. near milepost 55.4, Marchan said. New York State Police troopers in the Hudson Valley busted nearly 30 motorists who were allegedly driving while impaired over the last week-plus.
