Man's Body Found Floating In Passaic River
A body was found floating in the Passaic River Thursday morning, authorities said. The man's body was spotted from a portion of Route 21 in Belleville around 8 a.m., Essex County Prosecutor's Office Spokeswoman Katherine Carter said. Police on scene of a minor motor vehicle crash then reported the body in the river, bringing Nutley and North Arlington fire departments to the scene, initial reports say. The prosecutor's office is investigating.

Emmanuel DeJesus Perdomo was pronounced dead at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson at 6:47 a.m. Monday, authorities confirmed. A 27-year-old Paterson man was seriously injured when he was struck by a car while walking along Route 21 at night, authorities said Thursday. Emmanuel Perdomo, 27, was walking along the north side of the highway near River Drive when a 2005 Honda Civic struck him around 8 p.m. Tuesday, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Clifton Driver Killed In Route 21 Crash
A Clifton man died when he crashed his car through a sound barrier off Route 21 before dawn Saturday, authorities confirmed. Franklin Cedeno, 38, crashed his 2007 Audi A4 coming off the southbound ramp at Lexington Avenue just after 2:45 a.m., Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Clifton Police Chief Mark Centurione said in a joint announcement. Cedeno was pronounced dead at the scene, they said.

Woman Plunges To Death From Passaic Overpass, Police Say
An unidentified woman jumped to her death off of the Route 21 overpass in Passaic Friday morning, authorities said. The woman was pronounced dead at 11:41 a.m., at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson, Passaic Deputy Chief Christopher Storzillo said.
