Thousands on Long Island are without power following a fast-moving wind and ice storm that toppled trees, wires, and poles across the region.
As of around 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 18, PSEG Long Island was still working to repair 341 active outages - largely in Suffolk County - which were impacting 8,641 of the company’s 1,173,478 customers.
In Suffolk, 6,962 outages were being reported in these towns:
Brookhaven: 3,104;
Islip: 874;
Huntington: 732;
Smithtown: 676;
Babylon: 626;
Southampton: 340;
Southold: 322;
Riverhead: 251;
East Hampton: 21;

As of 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27, PSEG Long Island utility crews were still working to repair 99 active outages that were impacting 1,771 of their 1,172,768 customers.
Suffolk was hit hardest, with 1,490 reported outages, while there were 267 in Nassau and 14 in the Rockaway Peninsula.

Utility crews on Long Island are now working to repair dozens of active outages following the wind gusts and rain brought by Tropical Storm Henri.
As of around 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 23, PSEG Long Island was still reporting 34 active outages, which were impacting 143 of their customers.
In Nassau, 86 customers were still being affected, with 53 in Suffolk, and less than 5 in the Rockaway Peninsula, according to PSEG.

Utility crews from PSEG Long Island have worked around the clock to restore power to hundreds of thousands of customers, though nearly 250,000 are still in the dark days after Tropical Storm Isaias.
PSEG said that approximately 420,000 customers were impacted by the storm, though 85 percent should have power restored by the end of the day on Friday, Aug. 7, according to the company.

More than 300,000 Long Islanders remain in the dark a day after Tropical Storm Isaias ripped through the region, toppling trees and power lines.
PSEG Long Island was responding to 13,478 active outages as of around 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5, which were impacting 320,769 of its 1,162,375 customers.
Of the 320,69 outages, 197,383 were impacted in Suffolk, with 141,608 still without power in Nassau. An additional 4,629 customers in the Rockaway Peninsula were also reporting outages.
