Covid-19: New Areas In Westchester, Putnam, Orange Counties Now On Track To Be Cluster Zones
New communities in the Hudson Valley are on the verge of seeing new restrictions put in place due to new and rising COVID-19 cases.
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced on Monday, Nov. 23 that some portions of Westchester, Orange, and Putnam counties are on track to earn “yellow,” “orange,” or “red” zone distinctions due to the rise in infection rate.
In Westchester, Cuomo said that Yonkers, Port Chester, Ossining, New Rochelle, Tarrytown, and Peekskill are on track to become either “orange” or “red” zones.

Covid-19: Hudson Valley Sees Uptick In Cases, Positive Testing Rate; Latest County Totals
The Hudson Valley saw an uptick in both cases and the positivity rate for COVID-19 testing, according to newly released data on Tuesday, Oct. 20.
In "Red Zone" focus areas included as part of New York State's Cluster Action Initiative, the positivity rate for test results reported Monday, Oct. 19 was 2.91 percent - down from 3.31 percent the day before.
Within the "Red Zone" focus areas, 3,955 test results were reported yesterday, yielding 115 positives or a 2.91 percent positivity rate.

Covid-19: Long Island Sees Uptick In Positive Testing Rate; Latest County Totals
Long Island saw another uptick in the positivity rate for COVID-19 testing, according to newly released data on Monday, Oct. 12.
Within the "Red Zone" focus areas, 2,190 test results were reported statewide on Sunday, Oct. 11, yielding 81 positives or a 3.70 percent positivity rate.
In the remainder of the state, not counting these "Red Zone" focus areas, 89,603 test results were reported, yielding 948 positives or a 1.05 percent positivity rate.
