Former Devils Star Claude Lemieux Dies, 60 Claude Lemieux, former New Jersey Devils star and four-time Stanley Cup champion, has died, the NHL Alumni Association announced. He was 60 years old. The cause of death was not made public. Born in Buckingham, Quebec, Lemieux debuted with the Montreal Canadiens in 1983 after being selected in the second round of the NHL Draft and went on to win four Stanley Cups during his NHL career.  He captured championships with the Canadiens in 1986, the New Jersey Devils in 1995 and 2000, and the Colorado Avalanche in 1996, earning the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP during the Devils’ 1995 t…
