A Maryland man accused of helping cover up the killing of a 3-year-old girl is back in court — this time for allegedly lying to a judge about having a PhD. Cedric Antoine Britten, 44, of North East, is now being held at the Cecil County Detention Center on $100,000 cash bond, after prosecutors returned to court last week seeking to revoke his release in the high-profile death of 3-year-old Nola Dinkens. The University of New Haven is taking a huge step up in sports and competing at the level of the UConn Huskies. The Chargers will officially elevate their programs to NCAA Division I. New Haven will become the 10th full-time member of the Northeast Conference on Tuesday, July 1. Eleven players with New Jersey ties were selected in the draft from Thursday, Apr. 25 to Saturday, Apr. 27 in Detroit. An 83-year-old man who died in a plane crash on Cape Cod was a seasoned pilot, devoted husband and accomplished alumnus of Purdue University.
