Warning Issued After Sex Offender Found Frequenting Rye Public Library A police department in Westchester is advising residents to be on high alert after a sex offender convicted of rape was found to be frequenting a public library in the county.  In an announcement on Thursday, Nov. 14, the City of Rye Police Department detailed an encounter at the Rye Public Library reported by two teenagers.  According to the department, on Wednesday, Nov, 13, the two teens encountered 29-year-old Wale Gai at the library. Sidewalk Work To Block Entrance To Town Hall, Library In Mount Kisco The entrance to a town hall and library in Northern Westchester will be blocked for a few days as crews work to replace sidewalks in the area, officials announced.  In an announcement on Tuesday, Aug. 13, Mount Kisco village officials said the entrance to the town hall and Henry V. Kensing Memorial Library parking lot off of Main Street (Route 117) would be closed intermittently as crews work to replace the sidewalk in front. Man Busted Stealing Library Donation Box in Tewksbury A 26-year-old man has been arrested after police say he stole a donation box from the Tewksbury Public Library on Friday afternoon, Feb. 2. Anderson Phao, of Tewksbury, is charged with theft from a building, breaking into a depository, vandalizing property, and thief, common, and notorious, police said.  Library staff noticed the theft around 4:30 p.m. and contacted Tewksbury police. Surveillance video shows the man carrying the donation box into the bathroom.  Library officials believe he stole about $50.
