Trio Nabbed Smuggling Drugs Into Hudson Valley Prison On Same Day, Police Say
Three different women who didn't know each other were allegedly nabbed smuggling drugs into a Hudson Valley prison on the same day.
The incident took place in Orange County on Sunday, Feb. 19 at the Otisville Correctional Facility, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
At 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and 12:15 p.m., State Police from the Greenville barracks were contacted by the facility of three different women attempting to bring narcotics into the facility. None of the suspects were together, Nevel said.

Woman Smuggled Drugs Into Capital Region Jail For Inmate Relative, Police Say
A woman from the region has gone from jail visitor to possible jail inmate after allegedly smuggling drugs into a correctional facility for a relative.
Saratoga County resident Rondene Brust, age 53, of Ballston Spa, was arrested Tuesday, Oct. 11, after she allegedly brought a controlled substance into the Saratoga County jail, according to sheriff’s officials.
Brust then passed the “dangerous contraband” to an inmate, 32-year-old Bryan Brust, of Ballston Spa, police said.
Authorities did not immediately clarify the relationship between the two.

Suffolk Man, 24, Driving Drunk Nabbed With Ghost Gun At Correctional Facility, Sheriff Says
A Long Island man was charged after authorities said he drove to a correctional facility while intoxicated and was found in possession of a "ghost gun."
Daniel Apolinario, age 24, of Bay Shore, entered the Riverhead Correctional Facility parking lot through the employee entrance at about 10:45 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, and he tried to exit jail grounds the wrong way through the visiting entrance, the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office said.

Inmate Busted With K2, Suboxone At Suffolk County Correctional Facility
An inmate at the Suffolk County Correctional Facility is facing new charges after being busted with contraband.
James Maguire, 24, of Patchogue, an inmate at the jail was busted with balloons filled with K2, a lighter, and four suboxone strips containing Buprenorphine, a controlled substance, on Thursday, Sept. 26, the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Maguire was subsequently arrested and charged with promoting prison contraband and criminal possession of a controlled substance. No return court date has been announced.
Woman Caught With Heroin, Cocaine At Putnam County Correctional Facility
A woman arrested for violation of probation was charged a second time after jail officials uncovered hidden heroin and cocaine during her intake, according to Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley Jr.
Lisa M. Bianco, 39, of the Bronx was charged on Friday, Jan. 5, with two counts of promoting prison contraband and two counts criminal possession of a controlled substance, while being committed to the Putnam County Correctional Facility, said Capt. Lisa Ortolano.
During intake procedures, correction officers searched Bianco and found a quantity of heroin and cocaine, Ortolano said.
