Two people are facing charges after a 3-year-old was left in an idling vehicle that was stolen from a Connecticut gas station parking lot this week, including the child's mother, police said.
Hainef Ramon Baker, 28, of Norwich, allegedly stole a Volkswagon parked outside a Valero gas station in Willimantic on Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 4, authorities said. Police later found the child unharmed and arrested Baker in Preston. He now faces multiple charges, including second-degree kidnapping, robbery by carjacking, and risk of injury to a minor.

A Connecticut woman has been arrested after a lengthy investigation determined that she purposefully hit her boyfriend with a car and was driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, police said.

A historic inn in Connecticut was used as a filming location for the new Netflix show, "28 Days Haunted," Decider reports.
The show, which follows teams of paranormal investigators as they stay in haunted locations for 28 days, used New London County staple the Captain Grant's Inn, located in Preston, at 109 CT-2A as one of these haunted spots, according to Decider.

As of Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 8 a.m., 85 percent of the votes for president cast in Connecticut had been counted. As was anticipated, challenger Democrat Joe Biden has the current majority vote for president.

Covid-19: Nearly A Dozen Communities Considered High-Risk For Infection
Nearly a dozen Connecticut communities are considered “high-risk” for COVID-19 infections.
As of Thursday, Oct. 15, there are 11 Connecticut cities and towns in the “red” - so-called because of the color-coded map the state issues to show risk.
A community has to have more than 15 new cases reported per 100,000 residents per day to be considered high-risk, according to weekly data provided by Connecticut's COVID-19 Data Tracker.
