Fallen Tree Pulls Powerlines Down Closing Road In Doylestown: Police
A roadway is closed to all traffic due to a downed tree involving multiple power lines, Doylestown police said. Pebble Hill Road is blocked to all traffic at its intersection with Turk Road at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 14, according to the Doylestown Township Police Department. Police suggest drivers find an alternate route. Approximately 108 PECO customers and 218 PPL Customers are without power in Bucks County, no estimates for when the power would come back on were available.

Dump Truck Crash Temporarily Shuts Down Route 50 In Fairfax County: Police
Route 50 was shut down for approximately an hour in Fairfax County on Monday morning when a dump truck driver crashed and took down some power lines. At around 6 a.m. on Oct. 7, officers were called to assist at the scene of a single-vehicle crash on the usually-busy roadway near Fair Ridge Drive in Fair Lakes. A new law signed by New York Gov. Kathy Hochul will force utility companies in the state to quickly respond to downed wires reported by members of the public. The legislation, which was announced on Wednesday, Nov. 22, will protect residents during storms by requiring utility companies to respond to reports of downed wires no later than 72 hours after the response to the emergency event ends, according to Hochul. Truck Crash Closes Exit On Atlantic City Expressway
A crash closed an exit on the Atlantic City Expressway on Monday, Nov. 27, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 9:30 a.m. in Atlantic City, according to the South Jersey Transportation Authority. The crash closed Exit 2 off the expressway and drivers were being asked to move over for emergency vehicles, 511nj.org reported. Powerful winds from the overnight Christmas storm blew a section of roof from a row of storefronts with apartments in Hawthorne. No injuries were reported in the Lafayette Avenue mishap, which firefighters said occured shortly before 12:30 a.m. They said they arrived to find the roof section resting on power lines. A worker was electrocuted trimming trees while in a bucket lift in the Town of Newburgh. The incident took place around 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 7, when the man, using a pole-saw in the bucket lift about 25-feet above the roadway, made contact with live power lines at the corner of Babes Lane and Lattintown Road, said Town of New Police Department Lt. Boom Truck Tips Over, Nearly Crushing Home In Northern Westchester
A boom truck working on removing trees behind a North Salem home tipped over, hitting the structure. The incident took place around 10 a.m. Wednesday when the truck tipped over and landed on the corner of the Lakeside Drive house that was recently purchased by new owners, North Salem Police Lt.
