Owners Admit Fault After Fire Kills Sisters At Noyac Vacation Rental
A husband and wife from Long Island admitted fault after a fire killed two Maryland sisters staying at their vacation rental.
Peter Miller, age 56, pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal negligent homicide, and Pamela Miller, age 55, pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment in Suffolk County Court on Monday, Aug. 26.
It came two years after sisters Lindsay Wiener, age 19, and Jillian Wiener, age 21, both of Potomac, Maryland, died in a fire at the couple’s Noyac rental home in August 2022.

'Real Housewives' Star Was DUI In Maryland Maserati Crash: Police
"Real Housewives of Potomac" star Karen Huger has been arrested for DUI following a luxury car crash earlier this week, police said.
Huger, 60, crossed a median and struck street signs on Oaklyn Drive and Beeman Woods Way in Potomac, around 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, a spokesperson for the Montgomery County Police Department said.
Huger, who was driving a 2017 Maserati, was arrested and cited for driving under the influence and other traffic violations, then released, police said.

Tragedy struck an unsuspecting Potomac family after their Southampton rental home caught fire, taking the lives of two of their children, officials say.
The fire erupted overnight on Thursday, August 4 at the home the Wiener family was renting, trapping daughters Lindsay, 19, and Jillian, 21 inside, according to multiple reports.
Their father, Lewis, 60, mother, Alisa, 52, and brother, Zachary Wiener, 23, were able to escape the flames that trapped the two girls, confirmed by the Washington Hebrew Congregation, of which Lewis Wiener is the president.

Police have released the names of two sisters who were killed during an early-morning house fire on Long Island.
The victims, Jillian Wiener, age 21, and Lindsay Wiener, age 19, both of Potomac, Maryland, were killed in the Southampton hamlet of Noyac around 3:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 3 on Spring Lane.
The family was vacationing from Maryland, said Lt. Susan Ralph, of the Southampton Police.
The children, including the girl's brother Zachary, age 23, were sleeping on the second floor, and the parents were sleeping on the first floor, Ralph said.
