This story has been updated. The Bear Mountain Bridge was temporarily closed on Thursday, Jan. 29, as authorities searched for a person who jumped from the structure and was later found dead. The incident began just before 1 p.m. on Thursday, when New York State Police and other first responders arrived at the bridge for a report of a possible jumper, according to Trooper Krystal Paolicelli. Woman Jumps To Her Death From South Jersey High-Rise
Camden County firefighters and EMS crews were called to a report of a possible jumper down on Sunday night, authorities said. An unidentified woman reportedly jumped from the top floor of a high-rise apartment building at 3005 Chapel Ave. in Cherry Hill, according to initial reports. The building spans at least 12 stories.
