70+ Dead Animals Found Inside Vacant Old Saybrook Home
More than 70 dead animals were found inside a vacant Connecticut home on Wednesday morning, Jan. 29, according to authorities.
Authorities said they found the animals inside a home on River Street in Old Saybrook. A call to Old Saybrook police was not immediately returned.
The animals were a menagerie of rabbits, chickens, opossums, cats, a dove, and a skunk, among others, police said in a release. None of the animals were alive.

A 12-year-old girl from the Capital Region who was reported missing has been located.
Zalynn Laporte, 12, of Cohoes, had last been seen on Sunday, Jan. 26, according to Cohoes Police.
On Monday, Jan. 27, police confirmed that Laporte had been located and turned over to her family.

A Carlisle daycare worker is accused of physically assaulting two children, causing injuries, police announced on Thursday, Jan. 23.
Lea Waddell, 28, of Carlisle, was charged with four counts of Felony 3 Endangering the Welfare of Children and one count of Misdemeanor 1 Simple Assault following an investigation into alleged abuse at a local daycare, according to Carlisle police.

Iman Jefferson, a 25-year-old woman was reported missing on Friday, Jan. 17, authorities in Gloucester County said.
She was last heard from on Wednesday, Dec. 4, when she was in Winter Garden, Fla., Monroe Township police said. Her current whereabouts are unknown, police said.
She is 5'6" and weighs 130 lbs., with brown eyes and black hair, police said. Jefferson has ties to the South Jersey area, police said.

A man allegedly shot a woman before turning the gun on himself at Hall Manor in Harrisburg early Wednesday morning, police said.
Harrisburg police were called to the 17 row of Hall Manor at 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, for a report of a shooting, according to a release.

The death of a Putnam County woman in a tragic car crash in Connecticut has left her three well-loved dogs in need of a new home.
Diane K. Staab, age 62, was killed on Monday, Jan. 13, in a head-on crash on Ball Pond Road in New Fairfield, Connecticut, according to Connecticut State Police.
